Unique and preciously lovely, a delightfully dreamy beauty on the hand, this vintage Diamond dress ring is sooo splendidly sparkly! In the marquise or 'navette' shape which flatters the hand so nicely, this entirely handmade jewel ticks all the boxes for us and you'll never see another the same. When we chanced upon this darling jewel we fully expected to see French Assay marks to the reverse of the band as it is so much in the exquisitely fine French style, but sadly there are none to show her origin.
Set in the 'cobblestone' style in fine Platinum (which was a relative rarity at the time) the edges are prettily scalloped reminiscent of a flower, the whole on a light gallery of the finest charm. Mounted upon split shoulders which have a Fleur de Lys feel to them.... just THE perfect Diamondous creation.
Each of the nineteen Brilliant-cut Diamonds is wonderfully clean and white... take a look at them under magnification in our photographs. We estimate the combined weight of the nineteen old Diamonds to be around 1ct. The ring size is an 'J' or '4.75', but could be adjusted somewhat to suit. The face of the Marquise measures 2cm lengthwise.
