In superb condition and a gorgeous example of it's kind, this antique 18ct yellow Gold snake ring weighs a substantial 12.2 grams and feels nicely heavy on the hand. Dated by a full London hallmark to 1898, in a unisex design which was enormously popular at the time; the smoothly polished golden coils finish with the amiably smiley face which is set with tiny old hand cut Diamond eyes. Inspired by ancient Roman jewels the coiled snake ring symbolised everlasting love and so would make an original wedding ring.
The ring size measures as a 'Q' or '8' and no alteration is possible.
