An antique delight, this beautiful old ring dates to the early years of Queen Victoria's reign between 1842-1867. The unusual design spans the finger in five marquise shaped sections set with hand cut rose Diamonds, pinky Burmese Rubies and lustrous natural Sea Pearls. The smallest remains of the fine cobalt blue enamelwork which would have adorned this piece can be seen to the engraved design to each shoulder and to the settings of the pearls. In fine 18ct yellow Gold, it has a number of different marks to the inner shank, most of these are so rubbed it is impossible to decipher them but we do know it was assayed in Birmingham and retains an unusual kitemark which was sometimes applied to fine decorative arts at the time. The ring size is an 'O' or '7' but could possibly be altered to suit for free in our workshop.
